One thing I always dread when installing a new computer is getting it up to the latest patches.  Not only is this time-consuming, but I’m also never that comfortable with the idea of connecting an unpatched machine onto the Internet, even if it has a firewall up.

I’ve found a solution to this problem — a free tool called AutoPatcher, available at http://www.autopatcher.com.  There is a separate download for each supported Operating System, and packages are released monthly.  It seems that every several months, there is a full package, which bundles up all previous months.  Other months have update packages.  So More >
